ABOUT US

A Word from David Glass, Founder and Managing Director

Spectro has now been providing oil, fuel, hydraulic fluid and debris analysis services to international oil companies, engine manufacturers and operators of aircraft, ships and industrial machines for over 30 years. We have a solid customer base who value the service we offer. We save them time in predicting problems before they become apparent and we save them money in avoiding major overhauls and unplanned maintenance.  With increased requirement for higher reliability, I can foresee many more opportunities around the world.

A Brief History

Today: The company remains privately owned and independent. Our customers are based  in more than 101 countries around the world.

2002: Due to further success, the UK laboratory was extended to meet growing demand.

2001: Spectro established a third laboratory located in Switzerland, near Basel.

1998: A smartly refurbished 17th century building was acquired alongside the company's existing offices and laboratory in Hampshire.

1996: The demand for oil analysis and engine trend monitoring services was such that within a couple of years, Spectro had set up a further laboratory in North America near New-York, operating as Jet-Care International Inc.

1994: The business grew and larger premises were acquired in Odiham, Hampshire.

1976: Spectro was founded in the United Kingdom by David Glass. The company's first laboratory was established at Fairoaks airport in Surrey.
