QUALITY APPROVALS

Accreditation has a key role to play in ensuring the competence and integrity of organisations. United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) ensure that all three laboratories comply with  ISO/IEC 17025:2005, the testing laboratory specific standard.

Strict adherence to laboratory procedures means the highest standard of quality control is achieved in our laboratories.

• Spectro in the UK has been accredited since 1983 (UKAS Ref No 0261)
• Jet-Care International Inc. since 1999 (UKAS Ref No 1961)
• Spectro Oil AG since 2004 (UKAS Ref No 2661)
• Approved supplier to the UK Ministry of Defence
• Recognised UKAS accredited facility by UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)

The use of the UKAS accreditation mark does not imply that all activities are accredited by UKAS.  Accreditation covers the laboratory activities in accordance with the Schedule of Accreditation, which can be found on the UKAS web-site.

MANUFACTURERS’ RECOGNITION

The Company holds various levels of approvals from:

• Honeywell - all three laboratories, Spectro UK, Spectro AG and Jet-Care, are part of Honeywell Authorised Worldwide SOAP Network.
• Turbomeca - all three laboratories are approved for oil and SEM analysis.

• CFM International - The UK and US laboratories were exclusively selected for a global analysis program on the CFM56-3/-5/-7 series engine.

• Williams International - all three laboratories are approved for oil and filter analysis.
• Pratt & Whitney Canada - all three laboratories are approved for oil and chip analysis.
• Eurocopter - all three laboratories are approved for oil analysis. Spectro worked closely with Eurocopter and ZF on producing the Service Bulletin EC135-63A-012 relating to oil analysis on the Main Rotor Gearboxes (MGB).  
• Sikorsky - all three laboratories are the only recommended laboratories in the Alert Service Bulletin No 76-66-49 and approved by Sikorsky for oil analysis in order to monitor titanium level on the Main Gear Box for the global fleet of S-76 helicopters.
• Messier-Dowty - Spectro is a certified supplier.
