FJ44 Filter Analysis

Williams International procedure for oil filter analysis for the FJ44 engine and its derivatives.This is accomplished by analysing the residue obtained from flushing the oil filter in accordance with the method.

The O.E.M. has developed a method to characterise debris from filters to create a protocol to diagnose the health of their equipment. Approximate proportions are allocated to the different materials observed, eg  Iron,Aluminium, Copper, Silver etc. this is achieved  by using the SEM at specific conditions to a counts per sec ratio, which can give % of each of the elements specified.
