OIL ANALYSIS TESTS

Air Release

This test determines the ability of certain oils to release entrained air.

Turbine and system circulating oils, especially if exposed to heating, will absorb air and change their characteristics. They should on cooling release this air quickly and return to the original properties. The test will check that the oil is within its specified parameters.
