Debris Analysis

This in-house method covers the analysis of solid debris that could be found in filters or other parts of the engine and are sent to the laboratory.  The debris is placed in the SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and the elemental components are determined by Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.  Where the OEM has developed and shared metal compositions they will be included in the report as best match.  This is a non-destructive method which allows further analysis if necessary.
